Missing classgroup vitroClassGrouppeople

Hello,

We currently have a test instance of VIVO running (1.9.1), and while working with some people that we've added to the system, one of my coworkers accidentally deleted a piece of the vitro ontology, or at least that's what our best guess is so far.  After doing this, we were receiving an error when loading the "People" page:

There was an error in the system.

Error message: classgroup http://vivoweb.org/ontology#vitroClassGrouppeople does not exist in the system

Since then, we have restarted the system.  We no longer receive the error, but there are no people on the People page.  Going through the Academic Departments we are still able to see people affiliated with them, however.

A couple of questions:

1. How do we correct this issue?

2. How do we prevent this from happening again?

Hi Justin,

Since you aren't sure of what actions were actually performed on the system my suggestion would be to

unload your instance data from the damaged instance, set up a new instance and load your data in the new VIVO.

Afterwards, if you could give more details about your broken VIVO like it's vivo.all.log file and if possible what actions broke the system

to help in understanding your issue.
