USe TLS on SIP Signalling for MP2 ?

Hello ,

There someone that is using TLS ( SIPS ) for signaling ? the MP2 is able to do that  ? regarding the power of the CPU ?

Hi Daniel,

We haven't experimented with this yet.  It should be possible to configure TLS (SIPS) on the MP2 and I would be surprised if it were not powerful enough to do this.  Are you aware of anyone who has implemented this on any other OpenWrt platforms?

I will try to implement  this week my concern is not to use the TLS SIP but to create the certificate in the MP2 , could i add the OPENSSL package ? .

Yes, the full range of OpenWrt software is open to you.  I just noticed though that there is a minor typo in 

/etc/opkg.conf

You should edit it and change 

src/gz attitude_adjustment http://downloads.openwrt.org/attitude_adjustment/12.09.1/ar71xx/generic/packages

to 

src/gz attitude_adjustment http://downloads.openwrt.org/attitude_adjustment/12.09/ar71xx/generic/packages

then run 

opkg update

and then install the packages of your choice.

You may find that the openssl package you need is already present in the MP02 SECN 2.x firmware.

You can check with the command:

      #   opkg list_installed | grep ssl

Thanjd i will do it and share my results.
I am doing that because too many home modems implement sip alg and broke sip signaling . using tls the modem is not awsre that this paquets are sip.

I had a problem registering my SIP accound using DNS name resolving , the same like  this tread https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/11929

Steve , could we have a firmware release with the patch ?

I have a problem with this build , that resolv my DNS request problem:

 SECN-3_0-BB-Alpha2 MP02 r42625   , the FXS port doesnt work. 

How could i solv this issue.

Seems that the fxs channel is not
