For anyone looking for a device with dual band concurrent radios, this device may be of interest.
TL-WDR4300
It provides both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios, removable aerials, and 8 MB flash and 128 MB ram.
It now has OpenWrt support.
Retail price is around $90
