Hi,

I have added the beginnings of a Wiki for the Wildernets 1.0 Alpha firmware on the VillageTelco website at:

There you'll find a pointer to the Download area for the firmware and a pointer to a spreadsheet that documents the default settings along with the pre-configured SIP and IM accounts. I'll be adding detailed documentation on the WNETS features soon.

Notes about the firmware and wiki files:

If you follow the link to the firmware download area for Alpha30, you'll also notice a file "wn-usb-minimal.tgz". While this file is not essential to the operation of the WNETS MP02, it provides the pre-tested versions of the Xabber and CSipSimple Android .apk's that are referenced by the WNETS client "Getting Started" web pages ("Install CSipSimple" and "Install Xabber" links).

To install wn-usb-minimal.tgz, simply format a USB thumbdrive as VFAT with label of "WEBSITES" and extract wn-usb-minimal.tgz into the thumbdrive. If you then insert it into the master MP02, it will be auto-mounted under /www/webmain making the local links to the two Android client apps work.

Without the USB, the above "Install CSipSimple" and "Install Xabber" links work fine with the exception of the link to the actual software. You can always just install the CSipSimple and Xabber apps from Google Play and then configure them per the detailed instructions given in the above built-in links.

When you get to the step in the instructions to configure the SIP or Xabber client account on your smartphone or tablet, just choose one of the pre-configured accounts documented in the spreadsheet on the Wiki.

Cheers,

Keith
