Hi folks,

Two years ago in 2013, I shared experience on creating yet another Atmosphere to the Atmosphere community as an effort to make Atmosphere a better project and finally could get an opportunity to create Vibe as Atmosphere 3 based on that yet another Atmosphere thanks to the community's warm welcome.

Just in two years, not only real-time web has became much more popular and but also the paradigm for writing real-time web application has more evolved in many ways and required more features to write a just simple real-time webapp at a fast pace. But unfortunately, as Atmosphere 3, meanwhile Vibe which is designed to meet these needs has been delayed to see the light of day.

After discussion with Atmosphere's lead, we have decided to move Vibe out of Atmosphere organization because we sincerely believe this move will finally pay off. From now on Vibe is not Atmosphere 3 and not sponsored by Async-IO. Instead, Vibe has its own community with the same project name, codebase, license, github account and website.

Under the name of Vibe itself, the first release, 1.0.0-Alpha1, will be available in a few days and to finish this long journey to 1.0, now only a few items are remaining. For features and roadmap of Vibe 1.0, see the following draft of announcement.

I'd like to thank the Atmosphere community for the precious help and feedback so far and see you on the Vibe community.

Last but not least, I, the creator of Vibe, am looking for a job. If you are interested in working with me whether it is about Vibe or not, please contact me - flowersi...@gmail.comgithub: https://github.com/flowersinthesand, linkedin: https://linkedin.com/in/flowersinthesand And one more thing - new Atmosphere 3, aka Nitrogen, roadmap will be announced soon.

Thanks,

-- Donghwan
