All the bugs that crept in over the last 3 years have been fixed. Other (minor) improvements have been made as well. Here are the highlights:

• Moved to a faster server.
• Enhanced caching mechanism ensures better responsiveness. Internally, there is an extra layer of objects on top of the ENVY concepts now.
• The projects page is back!
• There is a tags page.
• Performance and minor fixes and tweaks at statistics page page.
• Added horizontal rule (_) to wiki syntax.

As before, annotation tags from the most recent version of a configuration map are used to generate the project pages. In case you are not too happy how your projects appear, you might want to upload a new version with adjusted tags.

One as side note, please avoid uploading maps containing deployable code and development code. It's is better to split it over two (or more) maps and use a single project tag to link them together at the projects pages and in the statistics.

It's good to also mention that some time ago Bart Veenstra added an
extremely cool feature to vastgoodies:
You can now browse the code in the vastgoodies repository without having to
download the code first.

Just click on the tiny browse' link above the versions and applications
boxes and you're off.

A bit delayed but VAStGoodies.com is available again. Not much changed from the outside, so here is a list in case you're wondering.

• New (and faster?) server.
• Faster(?) internet connection.
• Ported from VA Smalltalk 8.5.0 to 8.6.2.
• Upload and download events are no longer stored in the ENVY database but in a mysql database.
• ENVY database shrunk from 3.655.806 KB to 455.957 KB after cloning.
• Reworked processing of upload and download statistics.
• RSS now shows time of upload in stead of time of map creation.
• Statistics are back.
  
• Pie charts corrected at the statistics page. (Slices must be in descending order of their size.)

Please let me know if you notice any bugs. Haven't thoroughly tested all the used components. Some of them might require (more) changes to be used in VA Smalltalk 8.6.2 (and the Seaside version that comes with it).

There was some downtime, but the site is available again. Unfortunately, the service is not available, making the VAStGoodies Tools unable to connect. That will be fixed before ESUG. Downloading directly from the site is possible, though.

Thanks for all the kind words on the anniversary!

I have just updated the VAStGoodies.com website to 9.1.1x64 (from 8.6.2).

Besides the upgrade, many (minor) issues have been fixed.

The VAStGoodies Tools got some updates to enhance the error handling and to make the error messages more informative. Downloading and uploading have been tested in VAST 11 ECAP1 while at it. Everything should work with any not too ancient version of VAST.
