Description:
Proficiency and demonstrated experience in the following
technologies:
o Programing experience using R and Python or Java and Scala
o Big Data technologies: Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Flume, Hbase, Map/Reduce,
Spark and Cloudera Hadoop distribution components and custom packages
o Hands-on experience with related/complementary open source software platforms
and languages (e.g. Java, Linux, Apache, Perl/Python/PHP, Chef, Puppet)
o Hands-on experience with ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) tools (e.g Datastage,
Informatica, Talend, Pentaho, Hortonworks Nifi)
o Sound knowledge of Relational Databases (RDBMS), SQL & No-SQL
databases
o Scripting: Unix, SQL and Shell Scripting, Apache Spark and Spark SQL
o Build/deployment tools: Github Enterprise and Jenkins
o Other: Linux/Unix shell Scripting
• Experience with Big Data technologies and related software development
• Knowledge of Containers and Cloud technologies is a plus
• Knowledge of Apache Kafka, Spark ML is a plus
• Experience with agile/scrum methodologies to iterate quickly on product
changes, developing user stories and working through backlog
• Experience in DevOps Toolchain technologies
