I'm in mid-Herts, at 375ft. ASL and with a moderately-good take-off to
the North. I had a look on 6 last night during the contest, but S9+
broadband domestic-electronics white noise (which was at a more-usual S4
to S5 this morning) probably emanating from a nearby house, made it
impossible to hear even local stations. One station, usually S9+ here
when beaming in their direction, was just discernible, but still
unworkable.
The horizontal 6m antenna (an old 4-el. J-beam at about 20ft. AGL) is
currently lashed in a fixed, roughly 015-degrees direction due to the
gales, so I was unable to turn it away from the noise source, which
seems to be pretty much in that direction.
