2012.

Among those packing their bags have been former world chess champion
and opposition activist Garry Kasparov, top economist Sergei Guriyev

320,000 people left the UK last year, must be because of that socialist dictator we live under, goes by the name Camoron.

Oh wait a minute, your hypocrisy is showing again Baldrick, you've posted a link from that bastion of the truth, the BBC, you know the same one you're always on here bitching and whining about, you really couldn't make it up

There is no secret, about 90% of those from Russia who
apply for asylum are people from North Caucasus. That's
a legacy of the Chechen conflict. This way to migrate to
the West use those who have some problems with authorities
(including islamist extremist activities) or those who
are motivated by economic reasons but may use this cover
for easier immigration.

The BBC is a great source of credible information.

Statistics like that depends on many factors, including
accepting policies in host countries. In 2013, there was a
significant increase (about 35% iirc more than in 2012)
of overall number of those applied for asylum in W. Europe.
Not only from Russia but from many other countries.

<http://tinyurl.com/lyoujcf> Polish news
"Asylum seekers from North Caucasus are flooding Europe ..
Russians are the largest group applying for refugee status
in Europe - according to the latest Eurostat data. .. Most
of them are people from the N. Caucasus .. mainly Chechens .."

The N. Caucasus people are clannish, and so those who were
able to settle in West Europe earlier now invite relatives,
thus the flow of the asylum seekers is quite explainable.

I was right when guessing about the accepting policies.

<http://www.kavkaz-uzel.ru/articles/227228/> 2013 June

".. false rumors about facilitation of rules granting
refugee status in Germany is the main reason of the sharp
growth of applications from natives of Chechnya .. there
was information that Germany allegedly opened the way and
prepared for the Chechens special land plots and benefits
.. Now the Germans were surprised and excited about this
situation ..

Another explanation for the influx of asylum seekers is
that exactly one year ago, the Supreme Court in Germany
ruled that submitted an application for asylum and
pending refugees should enjoy the same social benefits as
all citizens of the country."

Anyway, the new subject line is correct.

My facts about 320,000 people leaving the UK last year which you have a problem with you clueless gobshite came from the ONS, I think they'll be more reliable than your socialist BBC report but the 320k leaving doesn't fit in with your biased view point of about half that number leaving Russia. Oh and where have I ever whined about immigration to the UK, please post in this thread with ALL my posts on that matter, I won't be holding my breath
