Sorry if I am putting anyone off their tea but last night I saw an advert
by Dick Shiteley asking for budding Madonnas and Michael Jacksons to write
in for a new 'people show' wittily entitled 'The Richard Whiteley Show'.
yep, yet another crappy plebivision prog only to make matters worse hosted
by the arguably the most odourous man on telly.

Is anyone going to send in a turd and say 'this is my impression of you,
Richard...'???

Guess what I won't be watching...

I got some mail from someone at Yorkshire TV the other day concerning
my slagging off of the above mentioned odious little man, giving me
all the details of the up-coming show (geeee, thanks)...

Oddly enough I haven't received any mail back since I replied that I
really didn't want to know and that Mr. Shiteley was a tosser of the
first order.

Some people are soooo rude...

Grrr...(okay, so that makes me sound like Betty Boo, naymind)

rolled in together, most people shows really wind me up (i.e. Barrymore)
but a people show presented by the most sickly presenter just makes my
stomach churn at the thought of it. I think that my dislike for the
aforementioned presenter lies in all the celebrity back slapping,
creeping and sucking up to guests and the sickening general niceness of
the programme. The celebrity guests appear so smug and knowing especially
with their poetry reading and half time puzzles that it just makes me
want to throw up.
There are only 2 good thing about countdown:-
Susie Dent ( I hate Richard Samson)

And what about Carol Vordermans laugh?

Susie "i'm really shy" Dent i'd love to see on a night out with the
girls. Do you think she ever comes out of her shell?

Well it looks like R.W. Has won.
I started this thread as a who do you hate and as I am too dumb
to watch Countdown and I dont live in Yorkshire, I never estimated
that such a Personality-Sic could be so hated.

Looks like Whitely wins hands down.

Perhaps for his punishment we should make him into Alphabet Soup.

Hows about we target someone like my original choice Dale Winton.

Did not know who he was but I now hate him as much as you do

Boxing is a sport whether we like it or not. It is just as dangerous as
racing a foruma 1 car at San Marino or a formula 3000 car. As proved by
the latest fatality in motor racing.

Its okay when Frank Bruno wins etc, but if someone is seriosly injured
then people start clammering for it to be banned. This country is full
of hypocrites who should stop whingeing.

Some people like taking risks, has anyone ever thought of that?

No I didn't think so. Mountaineering can be just as dangerous - the
death of Alison Hargreaves proves this.

Boxing should stay. The recent accidents of death and serious injury,
don't necessarily mean that is a very dangerous sport.

I have nothing further to say on the subject.

I don't mind what consenting adults do to each other in the ring, as long
as they pay their own medical costs.
How much does a day in a neuro bed cost?

Cheers. Ian.

Perhaps someone can tell me about the legalities of this. If
you went out in the street and punched someone to death, then
that's murder.

So can the boxer who delivered the punches that resulted in
the other boxer's death last week be charged with murder?

OK so you can sign an indemnity clause - but no contract can
say "I agree that you can terminate my life", surely? After
all, even suicide's illegal in the UK.

I'm not suggesting that the guy be charged with murder, but I
am interested to know whether this could be the "perfect
crime". A long shot, I know (murdering someone by getting them
to become a professional boxer and becoming one yourself and
then punching them to death), but it's not as convoluted as
those you see on Columbo! :-)

Yes, and oh, quite right too. In fact why not give both fighters a rusty and
blunt machette with which to attack their opponent? I'm sure that would add
some spice to the game, and make it into a proper sport. Also, why not tie
one hand each behind their backs as well, _really_ make it exciting.

Suicide has not been a crime in the UK for many years (well, as far as I
know, anyway).
