Jay Leno misremembers

Rewatching an episode of Craig's Late Late Show with Jay Leno, he told a story of a time Bob Newhart went to a comedy club and heard a comic. The comic asks an audience member where he is from and the audience member says he's from Phoenix. "F*ck Phoenix!" the comic replies, and Newhart is confused why the audience is laughing. 

If you watch Leno on Seinfeld's "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee," Leno tells the exact same story exactly the same way, except Leno is the one confused. No Newhart.

For the honor of NBC Entertainment, NBC should immediately remove all references to Jay Leno and launch an extensive investigation of all 4610 episodes to determine what other stories Leno may have lied...um...misremembered.
