Fox Back in Late-Night Sketchcom Biz With Former 'SNL'ers (Producing)

Andy Samberg and his Lonely Island buds are producing along with Paul Scheer "Party Over Here," which premieres at 11 p.m. on Mar. 12 and stars three women--Nicole Beyer of "MTV's Girl Code,' Groundlings alum Jessica McKenna and former "SNL" writer Alison Rich:

Fox has been quiet on Saturday late-nights in recent years after many years of "MADtv."  Since that series went off Wanda Sykes' talk show, various reruns of prime time series and the "Animation Domination High Def" block have all failed.  It should be noted that "Party Over Here" is only a half-hour and unless Fox is double-pumping episodes, will not compete directly with "SNL."
