Each .tblk can contain only one .conf or .ovpn file. See Files Contained in a Tunnelblick VPN Configuration.

Hi there.

Tunnelblick 3.2.8 for OS X 10.6.8

I am finding that a directory of conf files & certs is not importing into Tunnelblick on my machine.

I am bilding a directory, appending .tblk to the end and double clicking.

The console log:

12/19/12 1:59:03 PM    Tunnelblick[65304]    Replaced 'Launch Tunnelblick' link in Configurations folder; now links to /Applications/Tunnelblick.app
12/19/12 1:59:03 PM    Tunnelblick[65304]    Setting program update feedURL to http://tunnelblick.net/appcast.rss
12/19/12 2:00:25 PM    Tunnelblick[65304]    Unable to copy /Users/casey/Desktop/aa_VPN.tblk/eu1.vpn.goldenfrog.com.conf to /var/folders/s8/s8u2nlgbEIaddzOx+Y7qtU+++TM/-Tmp-/TunnelblickTemporaryDotTblk-XkybB7/aa_VPN.tblk/Contents/Resources/config.ovpn
12/19/12 2:00:30 PM    Tunnelblick[65304]    DEBUG: Updater: systemVersion 10.6.8 satisfies minimumSystemVersion 10.4.0

permissions look good.

I removed the 'offending' .conf only to have another one in that file be reported.
the .conf files are plaintext and don't look to have any chaff.

The source directory / pakage has a number of individual configuration files, such as the eu1.vpn.goldenfrog.com.conf you see above.

As Tunnelblick iterates across the individual configuration files it isn't removing the config.ovpn afterwords. Well ...

I did a full uninstall of Tunnelblick and installed 3.2.6, where I was met with the same situation.

my workaround was to create a temporary directory/package containing the cert and one configuration file for each of the configuration files in the vendor package, and then to load each of those individually.

it sure looks that way ;)

I'll pass that info back up to the vendor, thanks.

You can pass this along to the vendor, too; I don't think it is documented:

There is a way to install multiple configurations all at once: use a .tblk folder that contains only .tblk folders inside it. So you create a .tblk for each configuration file, put a bunch of them into a folder, and rename the folder with a .tblk. When you double-click that "outer" .tblk, you should be asked once if you want to install "n" configurations.
