I'm experimenting using the API to post an entry to the blog in Queued
status. I posted a GMT date parameter along with it, thinking that
would specify the date/time to release the post, but it didn't have an
effect in that regard; instead, it posted it to appear at a random
interval based on the number of times per day to post from the queue.

There is a setting when you post directly from tumblr.com to publish
at a specified date/time. Is this accessible via the API, and if so
how? I don't see it in the documentation.

Thanks.

Hi,

Am experiencing the same problem.
Did you by any chance find a solution?

Best,
Richard

Found the solution: One should use the 'publish_on' argument (together with state=queue).

Cheers!

That's a great find.

It appears that a different ID gets generated when the post is first queued up and then published.

Is there any way to the original ID from the queue after the post is published with a new ID to tie it back on our end?

If anyone had a workaround this, i'd like to know!
