Student Announcements:  

Junior Council meeting today at lunch in Profe's room.  

TSAS Feminists will meet today at lunch in Stallings's room. All are welcome to attend. 

Speech and Debate will meet tomorrow, Thursday, at lunch.

Bible Study is having an Easter party tomorrow at our regular time.  If you would like to bring baked goods, snacks, paper plates, napkins, etc., please do so.  We will eat treats and read the Easter narrative.  We will meet outside on the playground, if the weather permits.

Anime will meet next Monday at lunch due to AP Gov lunch bunch.

Attention Algebra 1 students who do after school tutoring with Ms. Gamble: No math tutoring this week due to EOI testing.  We will resume next week on Wed and Thurs.  

Key Club students we need your $6 for your shirts ASAP. It is very important to get this money in by this Friday so that we can order the t-shirts soon!


Ongoing Announcements:

ATTENTION AP TEST TAKERS! All money for AP tests is due to Mary by Friday, May 2nd.  Please note a hold will be placed on your transcript/diploma until money is received. 

Seniors, if you want to be represented in the graduation morph this year, Dan needs a baby picture, and a middle grades picture of you in which you are facing the same way. Some of you have turned these in, MANY of you have not. If these photos are not in by Friday, May 2nd, you will be left out of the morph and the angels will weep for you. Talk to Dan with any questions.

Want to help TSAS grow with a new outdoor classroom?
Boy Scout Matthew Malcom is resurrecting the old outdoor classroom structure from the fire site and rebuilding a new structure at TSAS for his Eagle Project.  If you'd like to help, please donate and support TSAS and the Eagle Project in its remembrance of the Barnard site and the continued rising of the Phoenix!

This is the LAST time you can donate to the XC garage sale!  Please drop your stuff at the gym by Thursday!  We are grateful for the donations that we have received.  The sale takes place THIS Saturday, from 8-3.

Cross country students:  Please sign up in the gym to work the garage sale THIS weekend.  Also, bring bags/sacks.

Cross country is in need of a clothes rack.  Let Jenny know ASAP if you can loan her one.

Enrollment Appointments: All rising Seniors, Juniors and Sophomores are asked to stop by the office between classes, at lunch, or before/after school to sign up for your individualized enrollment appointment to build your schedule for the 2014-2015 school year.

TU’s Department of Film Studies presents Summer Residential Camps in SCREENWRITING and FILMMAKING for high school students, from entering freshmen to graduating seniors

 

·         Screenwriting: July 6-12, 2014

Screenwriting Camp with Michael Wright, Director of The University of Tulsa's Creative Writing Program, will provide an intensive exploration of the craft of screenwriting along with stimulating group activities and film screenings. Students will create their own short screenplays which will be read for family and friends in a script festival on the last day.

 

·         Filmmaking: July 12-19, 2014

Filmmaking Camp with videographer Erin McHenry will provide students with the opportunity to plunge into every aspect of creating short films, along with evening screenings and exciting group activities. The camp will culminate in a film festival of the students' work, screen for family and friends. Graduating Senior Film Major Cameron Buckley will serve as an additional instructor.

 

The fee for each camp is $750 and includes housing, meals, materials and recreational activities. For students participating in both camps the fee is $1300. A $300 deposit ($600 for students taking both camps) is required by June 14th, 2014. However, earlier submissions are preferred. TU’s School of Music hosts the 5th Annual Oklahoma Jazz Camp July 6-12, 2014 for students grade nine through college

This week-long camp is open to all music students, (instrumental and vocal), grades nine through college, with all levels of skills and experience. The camp will begin on Sunday July 6th and conclude with a3:00pm showcase concert on Saturday, July 12thThe fee for attending the six-day camp is $250 which includes all materials, classes, music and a camp T-shirt. Housing is provided at an additional cost for students who will need to stay on campus for the week. Rates average $25 per night with meals paid for additionally by the camper.
