Following up on (1), there is finally some progress on the server move. We hope to make the final switch-over the first week of June. The new site can be found at the temporary URL bobcat.edgewall.org (2). You'll get an SSL warning when navigating to the site, but it is harmless.

The data hasn't been sync'ed in a few weeks. Otherwise, the site should be a fully-functional replica of trac-hacks.org, but with better performance. I appreciate any help in testing the site. Feel free to edit anything, all the changes will be deleted in the final sync before the switch-over. Please report any issues you might find.

Thanks,
- Ryan

When I try the bobcat.edgewall.org link in your message, I get an
error that the server cannot be found.

I'm too accustomed to typing edgewall.org. It should be edgewall.com, as shown in the footer of the message. Thanks for raising attention to the issue.

That works much better. And it is noticeably faster!

The final switchover should at long last happen sometime between Dec 26th and Dec 30th. Notice of the day/time will be sent the week prior, but we don't expect any significant downtime.

The week prior I'll also send out a request for help with testing the Trac instance on the new server. I'm working on fixing minor issues with plugins between now and then, but once there are no more changes we can do more extensive testing.

The switchover is scheduled for December 28th. More information to follow.

The site is readonly for the next hour or so while the switchover is in progress.

The new site is now live and no longer read-only. Please let me know if you spot any issues.

I'll create another post later today with more details.

trac-hacks.org was down for the past 11 hours. I received notification from our monitoring tool last evening but forgot to check on the issue. Just a restart of Apache was needed to fix the 500 error, however the cause is unknown. I'll investigate the cause later on and post more information.
