permission export/import

According to the docs on TRAC administration, there should be a command that allows you to export/import permissions via

permission import [file]

and

permission export [file]

But when I try and run this command I get the error 'Command not found'...

I'm running TRAC 0.12.3

Anyone else tried this?

I just had a quick look at the log for perm.py (http://trac.edgewall.org/log/trunk/trac/perm.py) and those comamnds were added in r10714 in 0.13dev, so I guess you'll need to update to use them...

Well that's what I thought - but wanted to check as it seemed odd to include beta functionality in the documentation!

Not really, t.e.o (trac.edgewall.org) usually runs the latest version of Trac (=> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eating_your_own_dog_food) and therefore has the documentation for that version as the default.

However, the older docs are usually available, so for:

http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/TracAdmin

...for 0.12 you want...

http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/0.12/TracAdmin

Note there used to be a note at the top of the page which would have been useful for you but that seems to have gone in the current page.
