We have a trac installation with a fairly length history (ticket #1 is
from 2006) that we recently tried to upgrade from 0.12.4 to 1.0.
Unfortunately we ran into a problem where after upgrade each ticket
message was listed twice (once with just a timestamp).
http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/4070/doublecomment.png This was in
the html and not just some ui artifact. The problem also extended to
updates any attempt to update a ticket appeared to result in two
attempts, with the somebody has already tried to change the ticket error
message.

We suspect a plugin is at fault (just because we have several that may
be old) and are ready to play whack-a-mole with a cloned VM. Since the
problem is a bit hard to describe we wanted to see if anyone had seen
anything similar before we went too far down that path.

I haven't seen that issue before, but if you post a list of the plugins you are using, someone might have a good guess.

This turned out to be caused by an old custom ticket template.  Thanks to hasienda on irc for figuring it out.
