TW5: Feature request regarding System tiddlers

Hello,

I understand the default behaviour, that the search functionality is restricted to non-system tiddlers. This is very useful in most cases.

Nevertheless, often I find myself in situations where I liked to include System and Shadow Tiddlers into the search.

Yes, I did "View page source" and search as a workaround. But that's kind of hacker's solution.

What do think about a corresponding flag?

I think this will come with the enhanced search (through fields etc.).

In the meantime, you can use this list filter:

<$list filter="[is[system]] [is[shadow]] +[search[your search]]" template="$:/core/ui/ListItemTemplate"/>

It should be possible to link this to a button with an edit widget to set the search value.

I've just pushed a change to add a basic advanced search feature. It's a tiddler called $:/AdvancedSearch that currently contains tabs for searching system tiddlers and shadow tiddlers that will be in 5.0.6:
