External tiddler content

Hi all,

I'm looking for a way of keeping all of the actual tiddler content
outside of the .html file in easily editable .txt files.

Basically I want to have to TW to be able to view and edit a series of
txt files, all of which will be sync'd to Dropbox. That way when I am
away from my computer I can edit those text files on my phone and when
I get back to my computer and load up the TW all the changes are there
ready for me to work with.

I have found the ArchivePlugin which will allow me to save the
tiddlers out, I just need to tweak it so it saves them as a .txt and
saves all the files.

Now I just need a way to automatically import the files. Failing that
I need a way to edit the text files directly.

Any help would be appreciated!

There's been lots of discussion on doing exactly this lately, and Jeremy (TW author) has even broached the idea of implementing this in core!

I'll add my vote for this again!

This is especially important as your TW files get bigger and more complex. And it becomes critical when trying to use TW on a mobile platform where saving to flash memory is generally dreadfully slow.
