Whenever I open any Tiddlywiki variant or save a tiddler, Firefox
3.0.9 prompts me to confirm cookie settings as [Allow], [Allow for
Session], or [Deny], sometimes multiple times. The prompt is "The site
file:// wants to modify an existing cookie". The cookie names for
Tiddlywiki are txtMainTab Timeline (twice), chkBackstage true.

Clicking [Allow] does not prevent the prompt from occurring again,
even in the same session.

I set Firefox privacy preferences to [Enable] localhost, to no avail.

This does not occur for tiddlyspot online tiddlywikis.

Any suggestions on how to prevent this constant prompting?

TIA

This problem is reported as a Firefox bug here:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=440973

It is looking like a show-stopper for me using TiddlyWiki, which is a great shame.

I do not want to turn off Firefox's "Ask every time" option to cookie setting. Is anyone aware of another viable workaround?

Matt.
