I've been trying to use TiddlyWiki5 on a desktop machine, and it seems to me that maybe it is only intended for mobile use.

Would I be correct in thinking that?  The list of tiddlers seems a bit difficult to use with a Desktop browser and a mouse.

Thank you,

Hi Andrew

No, TiddlyWiki5 is certainly not intended to be only for use on touch devices. The chooser feature you're referring to is one of a couple of experimental features that are optimised for tablets, but the general idea is for it to be responsive enough to work on phones, tablets and desktops.

Best wishes

Jeremy

Jeremy, thank you for replying so quickly.

Is there a specific tiddler that stores the content of the chooser in Tiddlywiki5?

The chooser is actually quite an early experiment, and so the version you see on five.tiddlywiki.com is hardwired to display an alphabetic list of tiddler titles. Since then, I've added proper tiddler filters, and a general purpose "list" macro that can do efficient selective updating. An updated version of the chooser would use those facilities to let the user create their own custom menus.

Best wishes

Jeremy
