Problem upgrading MPTW 2.5.3 (Tiddlyspot issue?)

Is it my environment or is there something wrong with Tiddlyspot?  When I go into the backstage in my TW (v2.7.0) and try to import from MptwUpgradeURL, I always get the following error:

Error retrieving tiddlers from url, please ensure this url exists and is CORS enabled

Do I need to do the upgrade the hard way??
