I don't have MAC, but the problem is most likely FF 15 which has new security stuff that makes you much safer and kills TW.
There's a FF plugin that may allow you to save:

I'm using FF 15.0.1 (just updated to 16.0.1) on MacOS 10.7.5
With both versions of FF I cannot save (this is relatively new, I've used MPTW on this setup in the past, I'm thinking the biggest difference may be FF updates).
In 15.0.1 I get a popup that says I can't save the main file, then another that I can't save the backup file. Since I updated I didn't save the exact message. The message is the same in both MPTW and core tiddlywiki.
I can right-click save both MPTW and core tiddlywiki and open it again. I get the same error on auto-save or manual save (expected). I downloaded both files today, so hopefully I've got the cleanest, most up-to-date tw code.
In FF 16.0.1 I get:
It's not possible to save changes. Possible reasons include:
- your browser doesn't support saving (Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari and Opera all work if properly configured)
- the pathname to your TiddlyWiki file contains illegal characters
- the TiddlyWiki HTML file has been moved or renamed
Has anyone else run into this? Any ideas how to fix it?
