Hi,
I need to host tiddlywiki on my own server. I tried tiddly-speck (tiddlyspot open source) but it's quite old and don't work with mptw. or mGSD. I tried to upload a file to my server but it doesn't worked either. Is there any solution that I can have tiddlywiki on my own server?

Thanks,

Pedro

Hi Måns,

You are the best!

I upload everything to my server, but I got a lot of errors. I have no idea why. http://dialogosconsultoria.com/spp/pedro/index.html

Thanks,

I've made a test of mGSD 3.1.9 beta (same version as yours)

http://xn--mns-ula.dk/TW/phpFiles/mgsd/

It seems to work allright ...
I use standard ftp-upload both on Windows and linux...

How did you upload your document in the first place??

I upload it through cpanel and filezilla. Got the same error through both. With a plain vanilla TW everything works fine.

Try same procedure with my mGSD TW and see if it throws any errors:

Hi Pedro

When I download your index file and open it from the desktop - it
still shows errors (17 plugins)

Something must be changed in the html file when it is uploaded...??

When you open my file downloaded from here: http://xn--mns-ula.dk/TW/phpFiles/mgsd/download.php
you don't get any errors?

I've only seen this kind of errors in a TW which was saved the wrong
way - via a browser's save dialog...

Did you save the mGSD file from the browser's save dialog?

Hi Måns,

I uploaded your file without using it here. It has the same erros: http://dialogosconsultoria.com/spp/teste1/index.html

I don't think I've ever saved it from the browser save dialog. Although when I save for the first time it asks for permission.

It could be a server issue?

Thanks,

Pedro

When you open my file downloaded from here (on your comupter - not on
the server): http://xn--mns-ula.dk/TW/phpFiles/mgsd/download.php
you don't get any errors?

If it works when you open it locally on your computer, something must
be changed in the html file when it is uploaded (or saved to the
server?).
I don't think it's a server issue - because when I download a copy of
your online document and open it locally on my computer I get the same
errors as displayed online...

I believe it must be changed during the upload procedure...?!?

I've never experienced anything like this using standard ftp-upload
tools in Windows or Linux....

This file is working. I will try upload to server from a different computer and see what's happen.

Thank you again.

Hi Måns,

Just found the problem. I use cloudflare and it tries to obfuscate the email. Simon's plugins has his email so Cloudflare insert a code and this was the error. Now it's working just fine!

Thanks a lot!

Great! - Congratulations..

You have changed all usernames and passwords in the php-file?
Would be a good idea, otherwise names and passwords are available in
this thread...

Måns,

is it possible to have some access restriction to the index.html?

Hi Pedro

> is it possible to have some access restriction to the index.html?

If you want a php based wiki system, where you can set public/private
modes then BidiX (original author of the UploadPlugin) has made a
package called TiddlyHome.

It has a couple of extra features which aren't available on
tiddlyspot.com:
1) save tiddlers one at a time via UploadTiddlersPlugin
2) Add collaborators with edit/write priviledges...

Collaboration isn't really what you would expect from a wiki system,
because it's based on the normal TW-backup system and there's a chance
that you might overwrite work made by other's - or the other way
around...

You can get it here: http://tiddlyhome.bidix.info/

It hasn't been developed for a long time, it is pretty easy to update
it yourself though.
It's a matter of upgrading the two index-files and replace a couple of
TW-templates (used for creating new TiddlyHome wikis)

If you need the public/private option - and don't want the hassle of
setting up TiddlyHome on your server - you can use tiddlyspot.com
instead...
It's very simple to administer, effective and it delivers free hosting
of your TW-documents...
