Hi Cam,

Please do keep in mind that TW5 is currently only an *alpha* build.
That means that it is *not* yet a completed application with regard to
functionality, features and visual layout, and the implementation may
change radically as the design continues to evolve.

Of course, this means that there is still plenty of opportunity for
community participation in the design process. To that end, I took a
quick look at your suggested screen layouts. Unfortunately, despite
the circles and arrows on the mockups, they don't really tell the
whole story and it was not clear to me what specific features you are
proposing, especially in terms of the behavioral design.

It would really help if you could write a step-by-step description of
how a typical user would interact with your enhanced layout/features.
That would make it much easier to understand what goals you are trying
to achieve, so that we can discuss and consider the design
alternatives.

much thanks,

Hi Guys,

I'm Akhil. I work as a java developer and have a few blogs (main: http:\\akhilspassion.blogspot.com). I love programming and am now learning more about Google app engine, wikis etc. tiddlywiki is the only one I found the best after reviewing so many other wikis out there. It has incredible potentials. I've interest to contribute to this project as well. Pls provide me with some places to get started as a contributor. I could use my spare time to help build this.

Hi Cam,

The tabbing mode, hiding the sidebar, graphic buttons for commands like new tiddler, the night mode and all other things are still possible to be done even with current classic tiddlywiki. All it requires is a person with good design sense and knowledge of CSS.
The tiddlywiki uptil now (classical TW) has been deliberately kept as a Vanilla software. Its due to this that huge number of Plugins and adaptations were able to come out. I am guessing (I might be wrong), what Jeremy is working for in case of TW5 is a new 'internal' and new functionality of the tiddlywiki rather than cosmetics of it.
This does not mean that cosmetics is not important. They are but they are not dependent upon new HTML and CSS technology. Most of it can already be done. One person I know who does fantastic things with interface is Tobias.
