I'm spending a few weeks in Belfast (east central) Maine. Streams,
lakes and ponds all over the place. Streams all have wild Brook trout
and some with stocked Browns. All trout fishing was off this time of
year so we had some fun with small "10 in" Smallies in streams and a
ton of fun in a pond full of these 14 to 16 Chain Pickerel. When the
sun started to go down would hook up on almost every cast with
whatever we tied on.

Belfast is beautiful, I was up there earlier in the summer, sadly without my gear. Did you do any striper fishing while you were up there? One of my most fond memories growing up in Maine involves 5am fishing for Mackerel to be used as 6am striper bait.
