For those of us stuck in front of computers for the better part of the day, we can now enjoy the VDGIF ShadCam! They just turned it on a few minutes ago:

Enjoy!

hahaha that didn't really work, the image keeps updating.  There were a bunch of shad!  And a 2ft american eel!

Great break from impact analysis.  Ok, back to the data...

Ton of eels out there tonight.  Great striper bait (not sure if that's allowed here so don't say I told you to!)

I caught a 2ft eel last summer catfishing with some friends just north of Fletchers.  Swallowed my hook and worm completely.  Took a lot of scrubbing to get that slime off my arm.

Sea lamprey has a short dorsal fun starting a the back of its body. American eels have a long dorsal fin down most of its body. Lamprey more brown green colored while eels are olive with white belly. And lampreys have no bones, they are swimming water balloons.

Also per the screen shot, the lamprey has the visible gill pores or holes vs. vertical gill slits behind the head as on an eel.
