CB is loaded with Snakeheads and this guy has figured them out. Biggest was 36". He caught 11 today.  In a kayak but mostly rock hoping on the VA shoreline.

Was there supposed to be a link to this?  What does CB stand for?

That'd be Chain Bridge.  I was down there on Saturday in the big back eddy a couple hundred yards upstream of the bridge.  I watch as a guy pulled three SHs out from the far side of the river over the course of about an hour.  It was from distance, but each was well over 25 if not over 30".  Equipped only with a net, he found a small eddy almost under a rock ledge where they were consistently rolling on the surface.  He would trap them against the rocks and scoop them up with the net.  Not very sporting but you can't deny the results.

While rock hopping, I saw some massive SHs rolling in that big eddy.  I had one mammoth lumber up to me within a few feet as I was standing thigh deep, completely unphased by my presence.  Watching me as I was watching it.  Creepy.  It would have been nice to go after them but I only had my two-hander with me.  I had to wait until Sunday morning to finally get my hands on one.

We didn't get the forwarded email.

That is quite a take to land 11 Snakeheads in one day.  Did he carry all the dead fish out with his Kayak?

I also saw some fishermen "figure them out".   Although it doesn't seem very sporting to me to cast over there backs and drag in treble snagged fish.  I don't know all the regulations but I guess as long as you're not spearing or netting them it might be legal.  I guess it will help protect the bass population for a while.

Where are you all accessing Chain Bridge by Yak?  I am guessing DC license?
