Post Fire Recovery

I would like to give a giant THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, to every member of TPFR. In the past 11 days since fire, smoke, and water claimed most of my possessions I have been amazed at the support that this club has given me. Kind words, offers, and gifts have certainly dampened the blow. I can honestly say I am doing much better on day 11 than I thought I would be when this started. "It's just stuff" has kind of become my mantra, because at the end of the day know one was hurt and it is just stuff. Cloths may seem important, but how many shirts and pants to you need. Books accumulate over time, but how many do you really re-read. Pictures and photo albums are great, but the memories and stories behind them are always better. I could continue on this train of thought for another 1000 words but I think you probably get what I am saying. I am keenly aware that I am simply doing what most people do when the world knocks them on their ass...standing back up. It is just a whole lot easier to do when others offer a hand, and I thank you for it.

Although loosing all of ones worldly possessions is a tuff pill to swallow, it can be done, with amazing support from the community, time, and 11 days worth of Bourbon. I am pretty sure a few rods and reels made it out unscathed, so at some point I will be continuing my campaign of piercing the lips of every fish that I possibly can.

 

At the moment I have housing set up for the next 5 weeks, cloths on my back, and food in my belly.

Again, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

        Glad to hear your handling this as well as you are.  I know I can speak for everyone when I wish you and yours good health and a better new year.  Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Trent, thanks for the update...although many of us here only know you "electronically" through TPFR we would would still like to help.

Is there anything specifically that you are in need of or could use in the near term?  Do you have a PayPal account?
Please don't be hesitant to ask.  I think we all hope others would help out if we were in a similar situation.
