Anyone have any luck over at Turkey Run recently?

      I have plans for fishing Roaches Run on Saturday around 5PM but I may go to Turkey Run instead.  I know Roaches Run is mentioned all the time (probably for good reason) and I have yet to actually fish it (always go to gravelly for outgoing tide) but I have not heard anyone mention Turkey Run recently.   I will be fishing right in the middle of the in coming tide which could work for Roaches but I'm not sure how it will be for Turkey.

 

      I'm not sure if there is a specific reason for the absence of Turkey Run reports or what.  I just like the feel of being away from traffic/ people but actually being just out of the city.

FYI turkey run is above little falls therefore doesn't have any tidal influence. Haven't been there myself but Iv'e heard some good reports on smallmouth there.

Aaron,

Reviving an old post here - did you end up going to Turkey Run?  My wife and I went for a walk along the river up there yesterday morning (on the Virginia side - I've heard there may be better fishing from the Maryland side).  There looked to be a lot of fishy spots around the rocks there.  There are signs posted citing a very strong current - so no wading, but there were at least a few spots where it looked like you could make room for a decent back cast.
