Next month I will be heading down to Miami and I have a couple free days. I would like to get a guide for a day. I don't have a huge budget but could anyone recommend a guide?? I wouldn't mind try freelancing a bit too. Thanks in advance for all the help!!

Matt,

Call Alan Zaremba. I was out with him last Tuesday and got 25 peacocks, including a 7 pounder, on a full day trip.

I have fished with Capt. Mark Hall many times as have some other members of this club.

Book him for 1/2 day ($250) and you will not regret it.

Good luck!

Matt -

I'm actually building out a website just for that type of question. It's a searchable database of guides and charters that I find online. I spawned the idea after spending hours clicking around the web trying to find different guides. My site is still very new, but the basic functionality to search around is there (I don't have a price filter yet though), and locations are still somewhat limited, but Miami/Upper Keys is one of the few I have at least partially covered (71 guides in that location as of right now) - along with Cape Cod and DC metro area of course! The list clearly won't be exhaustive and doesn't have the personalized feedback you'll get from everyone on here, but will hopefully make it a bit easier to find guides with everything centralized in one place. Feel free to check it out to try to help with your search - www.findthefishing.com - and I apologize if this isn't the type of thing I should be sending out to the group! BTW - no one pays to be listed on the site - I either have to find the site myself or be told about it, so there I have no commercial or financial interest in any of the guides listed.

Matt,

Here are some photos from my day with Alan Zaremba. It was epic. 7 pounder was a monster a took about 5 minutes to get to the net.
