Tidal Bassin

Landed two largemouth bass yesterday over at the Tidal Basin during the incoming tide just minutes apart from each other.  The second really put a bend in my 6 wt.  He held bottom now and then and made three solid runs.  Glad he didn't jump and attempt to toss the hook.  Delivered the hardest fight on the fly yet.  Heaviest Bass landed on the fly so far!

       Nice looking fish.  Good job.  Those guys beat out any of the fish I got out of there.  What did you catch them on?  It looks like your back is to the Jefferson memorial (only side I know that does not have a hand rail) but I can't quite tell for sure from your picture.  Just smile next time...  This is suppost to be a HAPPY occasion!

Those are some nice sized fish, specially the one your holding that thing is a real lunker.
