Hey TPFR-ers,
I'm headed down to Richmond for the weekend. I have 8 hours to fish on saturday and 8 hours on sunday. Does anyone have any experience fishing down there at this time of year? Research showed me I might want to go down to Yorktown to chase some stripers from the docks. Any info would be helpful.
Thanks,
Danny

Pretty slow on the James this time of year. Picks up when the shad run starts in late April. For some stocked trout you could fish in Shields Lake in William Bird Park. If they're not biting you could try Swan lake right there too for warm water species. I know they stock channel cats in it and I'll bet there are bass around.

I've caught striper year round in Lake Anna. You'll need a boat, though. And spin tackle.
