This is pretty good. A little long, but good. Surprisingly has Mandy Moore, Elijah Wood, Simon Pegg and Ron Howard in it.

It is also not safe for people that have any knowledge of the story itself.

According to this video Superman died in ACTION COMICS (Vol. 2) #75 and Reign of the Supermen started 1 issue after that.

This guy tries to mix parody with commentary and ends up coming off like a hipster douche bag.

I am working on something in response to this.  I'll post a link when I am done.

I agree there are lots of inaccuracies, however, as someone who is familiar with the story I found this hilarious! And that guy has got to be David Schwimmer's brother (just listen to his voice). Very surpising the number of stars that appeared. Overall I really enjoyed it.

If this guy wasn't such a pretentious, hipster ass clown...if he didn't start the video off by telling the viewer that they don't give a fuck about Superman even if they think they did...if he didn't get so much stuff wrong....if he didn't try to mix parody with making a big, important statement...if he didn't sit there with a fucking drink in his hand acting like he knows everything...if he didn't talk down to the audience...if it wasn't so freaking insulting I could laugh it off.  But it was all of those things and I can't and won't get past that.

I understand that other people find it funny.  That's fine.  I have to make my peace with that.  But once again Superman is the whipping boy of pop culture and frankly I am tired of it.

And, like others, steeped in misinformation.

Poor Bailey, tilting at windmills for Superman...

People have their things.  Luke has Hawkman.  Ed has Blade Runner.  Shag has Dr. Who and Aquaman.  It has been a long time since I was this worked up about something.  It's pretty much out of my system though...for now.

you forgot Firestorm...Shag likes to champion Firestorm too...glad to hear you have calmed down...you seemed ready to explode a few posts back!

It's funny too because I had worked pretty hard to get that sort of thing out of my system.  It is why I walked away from the Superman books and DC in general for about nine months because I didn't like being angry all of the time.  I realized yesterday that my main problem wasn't so much that someone was doing a parody of Superman it was the person doing the parody.  Max Landis strikes me as the quintessential hipster and over the past year or so I have come to hate hipsters as a species.

So yeah.  Much calmer now.

I'm kind of glad that I did not watch the video now.

Hey Mike I understand your hate,

I did enjoy all the celebrity cameo's though.

The narrator is a wimp drinking scotch with water, who wastes scotch like that?
