Thank you for your contact.
Warning
Please don't use this. If you want an event use the Condtion->Event context. This is only here because real Tasker events didn't exist before.
But in tasker are not the same events. Only a single events like "notification removed". And the most important point: I have to get access to the notification context given with Notificationaction=:=some stuff
That isn't available. Please show me how the react correctly.

I have a device boot event profile that no longer triggers at boot ever since I installed this update. I can manually run the task fine. Looking at the run log the profile doesn't trigger at all at boot. My other profiles trigger and I also have a device off event profile that works fine.
Something that would contrast with the orange lightning bolt. I'm no artist, but maybe a darkish blue?
Any chance of getting the keyboard actions we discussed added to this version?
Don't want Tasker is always showing notification. If I turn off "Monitor" notification, the system will show "tasker is using battery". Please take back "run in foreground"...
In case of doubt you should make it white.
warnings with the following message: UITHeme: error: getThemedIconID: attr 2130772056 / iconTaskerHome
profiles that receive an AutoRemote message are no longer behaving as expected
I have a widget to a task on my desktop and from another task I change the icon and the label of that widget with the corresponding actions. The label changes without problem, but the icon only changes if I select contact or local media. It seems a proble with Tasker's internal files.
Transparent, black or white. And it would be great to be able to select it in the preferences. :-D
All App Factory attempts are failing for me … as an example …
Any profiles triggered by events from third-party plugins have stopped working for me

Third party apps like Trigger and bxActions can no longer run Tasker tasks with the latest beta.
For all above issues, can you please try this version? https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Ylh_yIG5dFtcBzWOjKs__TMDu9hZQWjd

Android Oreo mandates that all apps that run in the background (without being shown to the user) create a notification when they run. Did you try long clicking to disable like it says?
But.... that's a pretty ridiculous way to do it.

Haven't tried it yet but is it possible to customize this notification? I'd hate if my app throws a default tasker notification now. It's why I can't use "run in foreground" as well and I really want/need to.

I just got an update with the new icon and somehow it's not OK. It's not adaptive anymore, the gear is much too big and also a little bit off center. The size of the previous (orange) version was really fine. Why didn't you just change the background?
After the first is created each subsequent Kid seems to hang at the very end for no apparent reason.
Joao, you've changed the error pop-up reporting, no?

Oh!! I see! Fixed in this version! https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Ylh_yIG5dFtcBzWOjKs__TMDu9hZQWjd
I'm at a loss as to what the following is. Is it a task being invoked by the Tasker Beta? How can I get rid of it? Andriud 8.0.0 ...
I think I've found the cause of the problem. If Tasker is set to English, the math functions return the decimal point. But if set to Spanish (my language) return a comma as a decimal separator. Have you made any changes related to that?

Can't create handler inside thread that has not called looper.prepare()
What is it?
I also now get the looper error message whenever I open Tasker. I just downloaded 5.6.1b.bf2.
Tasker 5.6.1b.bf2
If I load Tasker on my Android 6.0.1 phone It gives me the error below.
If I exit Tasker on my Android 8.0.0 phone using the Exit option on the dropdown and then load Tasker again it gives me the error below.
… Thom
That notification is an Android system notification that usually appears when an app is running in the background. But in this version Tasker never runs in the background, so that must be either a Tasker or system bug. Do you see a Tasker notification when those notifications are present?
The Looper error is fixed with the latest version in this thread. However, I'm getting the message to enable Notification Access, which is already enabled. This has been happening for the last several releases, I just never reported it. The only way I can get rid of it is to disable Notification Access, restart the phone, then enable it. I'm running Android 8.0.0.

Mail sent.I've also disabled/renabled the profile first so that maybe you can find more clues. It seems to me that it has something to do directly with the service that monitors the changes in the clipboard.Let me know if i can help you further.

Also, what does it do - because it seemed to interfere with that profile that was running?
And what about the system notification that the app is still consuming battery/running in the background? It should go away if I disable and exit Tasker.
And what about the app icon? I apologize for asking that again, but I have Tasker on the home screen and the current icon doesn't look very good.
And what about the system notification that the app is still consuming battery/running in the background? It should go away if I disable and exit Tasker.I've found that only happens if Tasker's notification is low priority (not shown in status bar). Can you confirm?
I can confirm that with this apk the %CLIP monitoring is working fine again, even after a reboot.
You mean the monitor notification? It has high priority here.
