Hi.
I have Tasker togheter with Secure settings on my Huawei Honor 3C and it's very annoying the fact that it's always getting disabled after a while, even when the battery is high.
I whitelisted Tasker on all the power saver apps that I have, including the Huawei's "Power genie", to no avail.
Does anyone has any idea how can I solve the problem (how can I trace the culprit)?

I attached as well the Run Log. So, the TaskService is stopping Tasker. But which one? Android's?

No, that's Tasker's thing that runs tasks, it's stops when there are no tasks left to run.

It's a good possibility that Android is killing the monitor service. Often on Android
5.0+ due to memory problems. Or if it's a rooted phone a 'cleaner' app.

Thanks for your reply.
Tasker shouldn't have stopped as there were 2 tasks which cover 24/24h (Airplane Mode Off, from 08:31 to 00:29 and then On from 00:30 to 08:30).
I have Android KitKat (4.4.2) and is rooted, but on both cleaner apps I have installed (as well as on the Huawei's stock cleaner), Tasker and Secure settings are whitelisted.

I have the exact same problem. My phone is huawei honor 7, equipped with EMUI 3.1 (based on Android 5.0).
It seems Tasker is killed couple minutes after the screen locked....
I have whitelisted Tasker for sure.

Same problem with my Honor 7. Tried enabling the foreground mode and the accessibility service, added it to protected apps, allowed it in startup manager. Nothing helps. Clearing the recent apps kills Tasker as well. :(

Just tried moving it to /system/app and rebooted. It seems to stay alive after opening it and removing it from recent apps. will see if it stays that way in the longer run {fingers crossed}

Can confirm that moving it to /system/app solved it for me. Used the app by the same name from play store to move it. Hope it works for you as well.

No doesn't work for me. But I have another hint to solve that works for me:
You must edit the file etc/ash_protect_apps.xml and insert this for tasker:
net.dinglisch.android.tasker

Reboot and then tasker works for me!

Hi everyone,

I had the same problem with Tasker on my Huawei G8 until yesterday. I downloaded a software update package from the Huawei website (dated Nov 24,2015) and updated the phone manually. Since then Tasker has been running without any problem. Before the update, Tasker always stopped performing the tasks after some time. Even though I turned on the Accessibility, Device Admin and Protected up functions for Tasker, the problem did not go away. When I rebooted the device, Tasker was cleared out of memory and did not perform any tasks. I even wrote letters to Tasker support. Fortunately, the software update fixed the problem. Tasker remains active in the memory even after the device is rebooted.

My joy was short. The update to v4.8 got me back to zero. Tasker does not work. After a software update of the device and before the update to v4.8 Tasker was working perfectly.

You were using the beta previously, right ?

There were only insignificant changes from the final beta to the 4.8 release.
