Greetings from the Department of Community Health Sciences (CHS), Aga Khan University (AKU), Karachi, Pakistan!

 

We are pleased to announce that “Sustainable Immunization Financing” is organized by AKU in collaboration with John Hopkins University, funded by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.  The workshop will be held from December 19-22, 2017 at the Centre for Innovation in Medical Education from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily.

 

The workshop is intended for EPI stakeholders from Afghanistan and Pakistan, inclusive of government, NITAG and private sector. It is part of a series of three trainings over 2017- 2018 conducted under the capacity building training grant called “Creating the Structure of Sustainable Immunization Financing for GAVI eligible counties".

 

This first workshop in December 2017 focuses on essentials of vaccine economics, economic evaluation of vaccine introduction, and evaluation of EPI programs.  Few seats are available in this workshop for self-sponsored participants.

 

The workshops are facilitated by Dr Shehla Zaidi (AKU), Dr Sameen Siddiqi (AKU) , Dr Irtaza Chaudhri (WHO-EMRO) accompanied by Professor David Bishai, Dr Omrana Pasha and Dr William Padula from Johns Hopkins University. 

 

Please find attached the brochure, workshop schedule, and application form of the 1st workshop.   The Application submission date is November 30, 2017 (Registration will be done on first-come first-serve basis for the self-sponsored participants).
