Hello,

I would to power supply Piksi Multi module and Freewave Radio (at the same time) with a rechargeable battery. So I would to dimension a battery (12V and tot mA/h) in order to work for at least 24 hours. What are typical values of power consuption of piksi module and radio? I found some values in the data sheet but I'm not sure that they are the typical values of running: 2.9 W about piki module, power input: 9 to 40 V DC (barrel jack 2.1/5.5 mm), 1 A about evaluation board, Operating Voltage +3.3 VDC to +5.0 VDC +3.3 VDC Typical Current Transmit: 1200 mA Receive: 165 mA Idle: 35 mA, +5.0 VDC Typical Current Transmit: 700 mA Receive: 135 mA Idle: 19 mA about the radio. Could you confirm these values?

Thanks.

I just bench tested this, at 12v both devices pull a total of 0.27A .

you want at least 7-7.5 amp hour of juice to run this for 24 hours at 12v.

I'm looking into lithium ion packs with 6 cells like:

7.4V 6* 18650 8700mAh 2S3P Lithium ion Li-ion Battery Pack

which are quite small: 68 x 56 x 38 mm
