Connecting laptop to base station instead of rover

I have followed the getting started guide and it leaves you with the laptop connected to the rover instead of the base. But, it seems more intuitive to have the laptop with the base station. Does anyone know how to set up the hardware so that the laptop can read from the base station? Thanks!

Once it is running you don't need a laptop connected to either side, unless that is how you are using the resulting GNSS solution. But you can randomly plug your laptop into either side and connect.
