are we aiming to do an ASMbly this year? Should we apply for funding from the arts council early if we are, then we'll know we've got enough to cover space hire and so on if needs be?

I definitely think so, we have enough of a track record now, An idea of what we want to do and what we are.

I've just got my 2nd arts council app through one for nimbus and one for the EEG totalling 25k . so I've got a pretty good handle on the new formats,  plus I've been working with a app writer who brings out the elements that we can't see and keeps on top, so it gets in, with appropriate syntax and the ACE requirements.

What we need is hard cash match funding, the one digital media labs got last year was a full 100% but it had one previously and a great plan for dissemination.

We need circa 25%

This is why the media museum is so interesting as a residency.

We could use that as match, they were interested in Bens TV piece which went in as 10k to be made. So that would be a start! There is also unit cell on tour, but that maybe a separate app.

We could use the residency as a way to enlist and promote the next assembly, we could do an assembly at the media museum?

Let's get this nailed.

We need a plan of talks, promotion and plan of attack for making people aware of what we are doing! This is the key element.

We need a plan of talks, promotion and plan of attack for making people aware of what we are doing! This is the key element.

my feeling is that's roughly what we should apply for money for, along with ASMbly costs including some time for an organiser(s), documentation and maybe being able to make a small materials grant to anyone who does a project at ASMbly.

Doing ASMbly at the media museum or in partnership with them is interesting.

My hunch is for a smaller-scale application this year that is less hassle to write, with some conversations with ACE beforehand. 

I'm happy with any approach though, it's practicalities rather than principle. 

Will it be too frantic to meet up on the day of the next Superposition, 18th March. Before the event? We'll all be there anyway, and we don't have to write the bid, just sketch out the next steps.
