Hi,
I am using SS 4.5.3, on Win-7...
Is it possible ( or could it be made possible ) to update already created dives, e.g downloaded form a dive computer, with additional information, through a CSV file ?
For instance when doing a live aboard, say 30 plus dive, it would be nice to be able to have a csv file with the dive numbers to the far left, and then be able to have Buddy name, Location, GPS coord's etc.
Then by using the import function, update the corresponding dive numbers with the data provided...
Maybe this works, and I just haven't tweaked my csv file correctly

This is already possible, but not based on the dive number. You will need to have at least the following fields in the CSV file for the dive details:
- Dive number
- Date
- Time
- Duration
The date, time and duration needs to match the ones imported from dive computer, but dive number needs only to exist (and be numeric). So we do the matching to existing dives by trying to figure out if the dives are the same, originally matching dives imported from multiple dive computers, thus the criteria.
It seems that the details on current dive are not updated on import, but if you switch to another dive, then the screen is refreshed.
Will this be enough for your use case?
- Dive number
