The Black Box Research Panel
We are holding a number of focus groups over the coming weeks and need to recruit people to take part. These will help shape the future of The Black Box and we want to hear from as many of you as possible.
To help us assign you to the correct focus group, we need to understand a bit more about you and your relationship with The Black Box. We also need your contact details so we can invite you!
Not everyone who completes this form will be invited to a focus group, but we'll let you know either way.

ONLINE- (DON’T) KILL YOUR DARLINGS!
It’s been over a year since Kill Your Darlings last graced our Saturday afternoon comedy club in the Black Box Green Room, which took place on the last weekend before lockdown in March 2020.
For many of us, it was the last time we had a lovely big pint in the Black Box.
To commemorate this anniversary, hosts Alan Irwin and Ronan Linskey are bringing a Covid-safe Kill Your Darlings to your living room/bedroom/bathroom, via the medium of Zoom.*
They’ll be joined by special guests Frazer Robb, William Thompson, Heather Anderson, Luke McGibbon and Adam Laughlin & George Firehorse.

Online Exhibition- Abi Charlesworth
All throughout April!
Due to the venue being temporarily closed, not only can we not have amazing shows & events but we are also unable to have our regular exhibitions in The Green Room. In response, we have moved our exhibitions online and will feature each monthly artist on our website and social media including an Instagram takeover on our account (@theblackboxbelfast)
This month we are so excited to have Abi Charlesworth!
Abi Charlesworth is a sculpture and installation artist who graduated from her BA (hons) Fine Art course at Bath School of Art and Design in 2019. She has recently had work in the shows After Hours in London, Dance First Think Later at General Practice in Lincoln and completed an online residency with Arcade Campfa as part of the collaborative MASH.

OSCAR'S TRAVELS
The Black Box Creating Connections group have made their first animation, 'Oscar's Travels!' The group have been working with award winning Dublin based animator Iobhar Stokes to create Cutout animation scenes. Oscar's Travels! is an original story by Creating Connections that was written for the Black Box Mini Moon programme that supports young children with disability. We hope you enjoy it!

MOON BASE BIODIVERSITY PROJECT- LIMITED RUN ON PRINTS/POSTCARD PACKS
Creating the Moon Base Biodiversity Map has been a lot of fun and the group have produced some brilliant drawings! You can buy an A3 limited edition copy of the biodiversity map which comes with a set of six beautiful postcards highlighting some of the amazing plants, animals and insects we found!
