Dear IWC Friend and Supporter,

As we embrace the dark autumn mornings of November, we welcome some exciting announcements and events for this month! Take a look at what we have to offer for the coming weeks.

For writers from Northern Ireland, there's still time to apply for Roaming Writer-in-Residence. This is a fabulous opportunity to explore your creative writing on our railway lines and facilitate workshops for university students. Get all the details here. Deadline is Thursday 15 November at 5pm.

In Belfast this Saturday 10 November at the Crescent Arts Centre, we also have award-winning author Catherine Dunne's course, Beginner's Fiction. This would be a fun way to spend your Saturday afternoon with a friend if you're new to writing or looking to sharpen your tools. Sign up here.

Then, we have one spot left on Andrew Steeds's course, Rewriting and Substantive Editing on Thursday 8 November. This is a very popular course which combines practical exercises with group discussion to help improve texts efficiently and effectively. Don't miss out: Grab the last spot here!

Finally, we'd like to highlight an upcoming offer on Lisa Harding's course Voice, Character, and Dramatic Action. Those attending Lisa's course will receive free admission to the Irish Times Book Club on Thursday 15 November at 7pm, where Lisa will be discussing her book Harvesting with Laura Slattery.

As always, check out our social media channels for news, course updates, and reminders of what's on at the Centre, or just stop by and say hello!

Until next time,

The team at the Irish Writers Centre
