Wednesday 9 January 2019, the Young at Art team headed to Belfast Cathedral to launch the 21st Belfast Children's Festival!
With thanks to our speakers Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor Deirdre Hargey and Roisín McDonough, Chief Executive Arts Council of Northern Ireland, to our lovely host Dean Forde and the team at Belfast Cathedral, and to our wonderful performers Noel, Gary and Keith aka Baby Daddy from Replay Theatre Company, Conor J Maguire with an extract from Removed, by Prime Cut Productions, and Conor Mitchell and soprano Rebecca Murphy with a performance from The Musician by Belfast Ensemble.
Thanks also to Bounce Culture for the beats and the amazing Christina, Keith and Jazzmin who entertained guests and schoolchildren.

NI Commissioner for Children and Young People (NICCY): Recruitment for new Youth Panel members
|
|
The panel is a group of young people who advise the Commissioner on key issues and assist her in her work of safeguarding and promoting the rights and best interests of children and young people.
The closing date for applications is Friday 11th January 2019.
Recruitment is open to young people aged between 12-16 years, or up to 18 if you have a disability or have experienced living in care.

Young at Art is managed and run by a small and dedicated team of staff. Their work is overseen by a voluntary Board of Directors who are drawn from the arts, education, youth and business sectors.
The Board currently has 6 members and is actively recruiting to increase its membership. The Board meet a minimum of five times each year, plus a number of sub-committees.
Young at Art is interested to hear from potential new Board members and is particularly looking for applicants with skills in finance, PR and the youth sector. Contact Us
