The Pagan origins of April Fools Day

April Fools Day is comedy’s religious holiday. It goes back 1500 years to the Feast of Fools. The Feast had plenty of pranks and tricks but also a lot more than that; it was a kind of medieval rave meant you could do anything you ever wanted which meant drinking, dancing, rowdy revelry and, evidently, bowling.

Film Fact: Birdman was deliberately made to seem like one continuous take
From its inception, Alejandro envisioned the movie as one long continuous take, like a play, but with the camera movements and pace of a film. The filmmaker overcame the obvious technical challenge of shooting an entire movie in one take by carefully choreographing key scenes of seven to ten minutes each. And by some movie magic, he seamlessly stitched them together to make them appear as one.
