Hello,

The last week has been eventful for many reasons and one of those was the announcement that Salesforce is to build its own Salesforce Tower in Dublin.

The tech giant announced that it will be hiring for 1,500 positions over the next five years and also revealed that it was donating a whopping €1 million to Educate Together.

This is the biggest jobs announcement in Ireland's recent history and this was very apparent at the launch event itself, which was held at the National Convention Centre.

If you weren't there on the day, check out Adrian Weckler's article from The Independent this weekend for an insight into the day itself and the questions this raises for Dublin as a tech hub.

Happy reading,
Amanda
