Remote Editing – A Look Back To The Future

Tutor: Derek Holland
Date: Monday 26th April 2021
Duration: 2 hours
Venue: Online
Cost: Free

Course Profile

This session, delivered in partnership with Screen Skillnet, is a follow on to the sessions we ran at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Working Remotely as an Editor, in April 2020 to help editors move to remote editing.

The session will consist of an introduction by Derek Holland, an experienced remote editor and the lead tutor on the original workshops, who will do a recap on the workshops and discuss the resources that have continued to be used and new ones onto the market.  This will be demonstrated by looking at three case studies, delivered by three editors,  covering drama, documentary and factual/entertainment projects that were worked on remotely over the past year.  This will be followed by a Q&A and general discussion on remote editing with experienced editors.

Participant Profile

This course is aimed at editors who have been working remotely since the pandemic and/or editors who would like to look at remote working into the future.

Screen Skills Ireland courses are open to all regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation or disability.
