We're trying something new this year in the feed below and just including post titles for the most recent posts in our feed! Please let us know if you prefer this or the excerpts of previous newsletters and we'll adjust accordingly.
Halloween is long past and we hope that those of you who celebrate Nanowrimo have been hitting your word counts! Fall/Autumn can be a difficult time of the year for many as we get less sun and that can have an adverse effect on creativity and mental health so please be sure to take care of yourselves as we all know...
Winter is coming.
At any rate, TWF is currently looking for more drabble. while the site is still looking for a new interview coordinator! We have multiple contests to run soon and my free time is starting to return to normal. Which, is actually surprising as my Wednesday writing time has all but vanished.
As always, I'd like to throw a HUGE thanks to our Patreons who help keep this site running!
Looking To Help Horror Tree?
Here are the main things we're looking for:
- Contest sponsorships! We're looking for sponsors for contests: Books on writing, your own fiction (ideally physical copies), Amazon gift cards, Kindles, writing course payments, etc. (We have 2 confirmed, and 3 more I need to respond to and will hopefully have done so by the time this e-mail has gone out!
- Article writers*! We're looking for interviewers, reviewers, and original content on the writing/publishing/marketing/etc process
- Original art! For shirts, the website, and more we can always use original art that would fit the site.
- Advertising, need to market your new book? Reach out!
- The obvious one here is also to become one of our Patreons!
If you're interested in contributing and think you have something that would help out PLEASE don't shy away from contacting us!
*I have a special interest in someone who would want to do Top 10 lists or crowdsourced Q&A articles which I could help provide a crowd for.*
Please reach out if you have any thoughts, suggestions, or requests for the site or mailing list!
Thank you for your time!
-Stuart Conover
Note: We're always looking for new Patreons to help keep the site running! We're inching towards being able to both compensating our staff and become a direct paying market and not just a royalty market. Even a dollar makes a difference!
As a reminder, we've officially opened the Horror Tree Store so be sure to check it out! Let us know if there are any types of items which you'd like to see added.
