Hello there!

Love is in the air and we want to capture your twisted tales of romance! We've been running "Trembling With Fear" specials for a while now and this year we're making a push to try and get some tales of romance for a Valentine's Day Edition! A
celebration of undying love and romance, a time to do something special for the one you love. But it’s not all hearts and flowers, is it? For the upcoming Valentine’s Special, we’re looking for stories that crawl upon the underbelly of romance…obsession, crimes of passion, and love that continues perhaps long after it should. Relationships that have run their course. Evil deeds done in the name of love. Love letters to the damned. -
These will fall under standard TWF guidelines so we're looking for drabble and ideally stories at 1000-1500 words! (You've got some wiggle room to be outside of that word count.)
Stories can be sent directly to Catherine at catherin...@gmail.com

A reiteration from last week - As you're likely aware, February is Women in Horror Month. Each year, we try to participate in the event and feature at least a post a day (primarily guest posts) from women involved in writing, editing, or the publishing industry. We're open to pitches (or can make suggestions) for articles that are in the 300+ word range. If this is you and you'd like to be featured on the site - reach out to con...@horrortree.com today!

A huge thanks to the new Patreons who help keep this site running! We're still down from the one who left last week but we've had a couple of new ones jump in to help soften the blow. THANK YOU!

Looking To Help Horror Tree?
Here are the main things we're looking for:
- Contest sponsorships! We're looking for sponsors for contests: Books on writing, your own fiction, Amazon gift cards, Kindles, writing course payments, etc.
- Article writers*! We're looking for interviewers, reviewers, and original content on the writing/publishing/marketing/etc process
- Original art! For shirts, the website, and more we can always use original art that would fit the site.
- Advertising, need to market your new book? Reach out!
- The obvious one here is also to become one of our Patreons!

If you're interested in contributing and think you have something that would help out PLEASE don't shy away from contacting us!
*I have a special interest in someone who would want to do Top 10 lists or crowdsourced Q&A articles which I could help provide a crowd for. Also, someone willing to report on the publishing industry which I can help find sourced articles for.*

Please reach out if you have any thoughts, suggestions, or requests for the site or mailing list!

Thank you for your time!
-Stuart Conover

Note: We're always looking for new Patreons to help keep the site running! We're inching towards being able to both compensating our staff and become a direct paying market and not just a royalty market. Even a dollar makes a difference!

As a reminder, we've officially opened the Horror Tree Store so be sure to check it out! Let us know if there are any types of items that you'd like to see added.
